Instant Access to North Carolina State, County and Municipal Records
North Carolina Public Records
The North Carolina State Records mission is to grant every person the right to detect, obtain, preview, and examine state public records; ensuring residents of the state of North Carolina are provided access in accordance with the North Carolina Public Records Law, which states “any person” may request access to public records regardless of residence or citizenship: http://www.nfoic.org/.
The purpose of the request is immaterial, and the requester does not have to provide any sensitive information about himself or state a “need to know” in order to gain access, though the legislature recognizes the need to balance this policy of openness against the equally important need for privacy of certain information.
North Carolina State Records contain information concerning the following subjects: Criminal Records, Court Records, Vital Records and State Background Checks, the information is over 93 million public records.
The search functionality granted in this portal enables the information requested to be presented immediately and accurately.
